Gary Brownfield is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in power systems and transmission planning. Currently serving as a Principal Power Systems Engineer at Mesa Associates, Inc. since March 2021 and holding the position of Principal at Electric Power Consulting since July 2019, Gary has a robust background in leadership roles within the industry. Previously, Gary spent three decades at Ameren in various capacities, including Manager of Transmission Planning and Supervising Engineer for both Transmission and Distribution Planning. Gary began professional career at Union Electric as an Electrical Engineer in System Planning. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
