Tom Hager has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Tom started their career in 1979 as a SAR Aircrewman and Flight Mechanic in the U.S. Coast Guard. Tom then worked as a T-38 Crew Chief and Aircraft Mechanic at Northrop World Wide Aircraft Services / DynCorp, where they provided maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for astronaut training and space shuttle operations. In 2000, they joined Computer Sciences Corporation / National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a NASA Aircraft Maintenance Controller and Operations Coordinator, overseeing the maintenance and operation of aircraft and coordinating flight logistics. In 2012, they transitioned to NASA AOD / Geo Control Systems as a NASA Flight Operations Specialist, where they managed flight scheduling and updated flight information. Tom also worked at Rockwell Collins as a Sr International Operations Coordinator, at UAS International Trip Support as an International Flight Operations Specialist, and at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance as an Airframe and Powerplant Instructor. Currently, they are working at Mesa Airlines, Inc. as a System Operations Control Lead and previously served as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
Tom Hager has a background in flight operations and dispatch. Tom attended IFOD, where they studied flight operations and dispatch. Tom also attended US Coast Guard AVTECHTRACEN, where they obtained a technical degree in flight operations. Additionally, Tom Hager holds certifications such as an Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in September 2014, and an Airframe, Power Plant Certificate, also from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in June 1994.
