Brian Bern Pe, Ptoe

Brian Bern, PE, PTOE has extensive experience in engineering and project management. Brian worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Merrick & Company, where they led a team for the redevelopment of the National Western Center. At Matrix Design Group, they served as a Project Manager and was involved in various engineering projects, including traffic impact studies, corridor studies, and land development construction drawings. Brian also worked at Parsons Brinckerhoff as an Engineer I. Additionally, they have been actively involved with the ASCE Colorado Section, where they served as the Younger Member Group President. Brian's experience also includes working as an Intern at the Texas Transportation Institute and as a Co-op Student at Granite Construction. Apart from their engineering career, they have been a FIFA Grade 8 Soccer Official since 1992, regularly officiating soccer games at various levels.

Brian Bern, PE, PTOE started their education at Carmel High School, where they completed their High School degree from 1994 to 1998. Brian then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, attending from 1998 to 2003. Afterward, they joined the University of Colorado Denver and attained a Master of Science degree in Transportation Engineering, completing the program from 2005 to 2010.

In addition to their educational achievements, Brian also holds professional certifications. Brian obtained the Professional Engineer certification from Colorado in January 2008. Later, in November 2011, they obtained the Professional Traffic Operations Engineer certification from the Transportation Professional Certification Board.
