Jared Basile has extensive experience in the field of flight test engineering. In 2022, they began working as a Flight Test Engineer (Controls & Simulation) at Merlin Labs. Prior to that, they were employed at Aerotek and Sierra Nevada Corporation as a Flight Test Engineer. From 2018-2020, they worked at BASILE ENGINEERING LLC as a Flight Test Engineer, supporting the development and certification testing of the Mitsubishi Regional Jet program. In 2017, they were employed at both Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation and AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification L.L.C. as a Flight Test Engineer. In 2013, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Cobham Aerospace Communications. Lastly, from 2006-2013, they served in the United States Air Force as a Tactical Aircraft Maintainer, performing phase inspections and heavy maintenance for 31st MX squadron Aviano, Italy.
Jared Basile obtained an AA in Aviation Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2009. Jared then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2007 to 2010, earning a BS in Professional Aeronautics and a BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Jared also obtained a certification in Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Finally, they completed a Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering from the National Test Pilot School.
