Susan MacHolda, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles.

Susan began their career at Target in 1983 as a Human Resources Manager, where they were responsible for recruitment and hiring strategies, orientations, and training programs. Susan stayed with Target until 1989.

From 1989 to 1992, Susan worked at Northgate Computer Systems, Inc., initially as an Employment Representative and later as a Human Resources Specialist. Their responsibilities included employee relations programs, policy interpretation, orientation, and recruitment.

In 1992, Susan joined Carlson Wagonlit Travel as a Human Resources Manager. Susan provided consultation and support in various HR matters, including strategic planning, employee relations, training and development, and compensation. Susan stayed with the company until 1995.

From 1996 to 1997, Susan worked at State Street Global Advisors as a Manager of Human Resources. Susan established the HR function, implemented policies and procedures, and served as a strategic business partner to achieve business goals.

Susan joined Carlson in 1997 and held various senior HR roles over the years. As a Director and later as a Senior Director, they led HR teams, supported divisions, and implemented talent and leadership development initiatives. Susan also played a key role in creating enterprise-wide HR programs, such as diversity and inclusion strategies, recognition initiatives, employee engagement programs, and work-life balance policies. Susan's tenure at Carlson lasted until 2017.

In 2018, they started working as a Senior HR Director, HR Business Partner for a small start-up technology company. Their role involved providing strategic HR consulting and leading various talent life cycle initiatives.

Finally, Susan joined The Meritex Company in 2019 as the Vice President of Human Resources. Susan was later promoted to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer.

Susan MacHolda, SPHR has a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Communication from the University of Minnesota. Susan also completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. In addition to their degrees, Susan obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in December 2001.
