Dan Pansing started their career as a Management Trainee & Commercial Lender at First National Bank of Omaha in 1993, where they worked until 1995. Dan then moved to LaSalle Bank in 1995 as a Loan Officer until 1997. In 1999, they joined Merit Capital Partners as a Managing Director, where they oversee investments in middle-market companies in various industries.

Dan Pansing earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Miami University in 1993. Prior to this, they attended Omaha Central High from 1986 to 1989. Later, they pursued an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management from 1997 to 1999.
