Ruth Young is an experienced organisational development professional currently serving as an Organisational Development Business Partner at Meridian Energy since October 2023. As the founder of Ruth Young Consulting since January 2019, Ruth has provided executive and leadership coaching, mentoring, and fractional leadership in people and culture. Ruth is also a founding member of Excellent, a network focused on human-centric work environments. Participation in the OnBoard NZ accelerator program as a board observer aims to enhance diversity in tech startup boards. Previous roles include GM People & Practice at Creative HQ, Chief People Officer at MOBI, Senior HR Business Partner at REA Group, and Senior People Business Partner at MYOB. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Industrial Relations from Victoria University of Wellington and a Diploma of Business Studies from Central Institute of Technology.
