Shahd Hammou is an accomplished Programme Lead and Gender Advisor for Mercy Corps, leading a multi-state team focused on the PEACE-WISE program, which empowers women in South Darfur and South Kordofan to engage in violence prevention and democratic transition. Additionally, Shahd serves as a Curator and Vice Curator for the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers community. Previously, Shahd held roles at Girl Effect, managing multi-year partnerships to improve access to vaccines for girls across several African countries, and at Haggar Group, overseeing corporate sustainability initiatives. Shahd's earlier experiences include positions at Crasner Capital, SOAS University of London, Deloitte East Africa, GOAL Global, Aequitas Consulting, and The Boston Consulting Group. Shahd holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Geography from SOAS University of London and King's College London and is currently pursuing an MSt in Social Innovation at the University of Cambridge.
