Director Of Development, High Impact Philanthropy at Mercy Corps

Laura Johnson is an experienced professional in philanthropy and program management, currently serving as the Director of Development for High Impact Philanthropy at Mercy Corps since September 2021. In this role, Laura connects supporters with investment opportunities to aid communities in over 40 countries facing disasters and financial challenges. Previous roles include Director of Philanthropy and Financial Development Operations Director at the YMCA of Greater Seattle, where extensive experience in fundraising and donor relations was cultivated. Laura also managed the “Grocery Rescue” program at Food Lifeline and played a crucial role in food distribution at the Jewish Family Service Food Bank. Educationally, Laura holds a BA in American Cultural Studies and Music from Western Washington University.
