Troy Hawkins is an accomplished director and leader in computational biology and data science, currently serving as the Director of Computational Biology & Data Science at Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc. and as Principal at Polymorphic, providing consulting services to biotech startups. Hawkins holds an adjunct assistant professor position at Indiana University School of Medicine, where research focuses on exploratory perioperative biomarkers linked to gut inflammation and the microbiome. Previously, Hawkins was the Technology Director at Hood Medicine Initiative, Inc., and Vice President of Compute & Analytics at BiomEdit, leading initiatives in microbiome discovery. With extensive experience at Elanco and Eli Lilly and Company, Hawkins has a strong background in genomic and computational sciences, supported by a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from Purdue University.
