Gururaj Balakrishna is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and financial services. Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at Mercury Payments Services since January 2022, Gururaj plays a pivotal role in the UAE's domestic payment scheme. As a Founding Member of Unitey Digital, Gururaj focuses on democratizing the global financial fabric. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at United Company for Financial Services and Chief Consumer Credit Officer at Fullerton Financial Holdings, where Gururaj established the risk management team and led credit operations. Earlier career achievements include leadership positions at Dubai Bank and Citibank, where Gururaj developed and executed collections strategies and managed significant teams.
