Shaun VanWeelden is a seasoned professional in the fields of data operations and engineering, currently serving as the Managing Director at Mercor. Previously, Shaun held key positions at OpenAI as a Human Data Ops Leader and a member of the program staff, and at Scale AI as Director of Computer Vision Engagements and Field Engineering. Shaun's career also includes significant roles at Engagio, where responsibilities included Senior Manager of Success Engineering and Manager of Success Engineering, as well as earlier experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Twilio Inc. Shaun earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Iowa State University, completing studies between 2011 and 2016.
