Amelia Tjaden is a seasoned management analyst currently employed by the City of Mercer Island since February 2024, and previously worked in the same capacity for the City of Woodinville where responsibilities included managing special projects and conducting research and data analysis for the Public Works department. Amelia's experience includes a consulting role at the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, where policy evaluations and framework developments for the 4% Bond/Tax Credit Program were key contributions, along with an internship at King County focusing on community needs assessments. Prior roles involved navigating housing barriers for individuals experiencing homelessness at Hennepin County, and supporting volunteer initiatives at Prepare + Prosper. Amelia holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from the University of Minnesota.
