Amanda K. possesses extensive experience in emergency management and administrative roles. Currently serving as an Emergency Manager and Executive Assistant to the City Manager at the City of Mercer Island since April 2018, Amanda K. has led emergency responses and organized training exercises. Prior experience includes authoring an Emergency Preparedness column for Issaquah Highlands Connections and holding various positions at The National Bureau of Asian Research, where responsibilities ranged from writing and editing correspondence to managing daily operations. Amanda K. also has a background in development and student support from Denver Street School and began a career in public service as an intern with the Washington State House of Representatives. Amanda K. holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from Seattle Pacific University and an Emergency Management Certificate from Edmonds College.
