Shannon Tapp has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Teacher at Mercer Island School District since August 2015, specializing in Advanced Marketing, Marketing, Retail Marketing, Accounting, and International Entrepreneurship, while also advising DECA and the Finance Club. Previously, Shannon worked at Highline Public Schools as a Teacher, focusing on Information Technology, Publishing, Economics, and Journalism between 2011 and 2015, and served as a DECA Advisor and Newspaper Advisor. Additional roles include Instructional Technology Assistant at Eastern Washington University and Marketing Coordinator at Valley Medical Center. Shannon holds a Master of Education in Career and Technology Education from Eastern New Mexico University (2019-2022), a Bachelor's in Business Education from Eastern Washington University (2009-2011), and a Bachelor's in Journalism with a Business Minor from Western Washington University (2002-2006).
