Martha Anderson is an experienced professional in program management and event strategy, currently serving as the Associate Director of Programs & Operations at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University since July 2016. Throughout their career, Martha has held various leadership roles, including Operations Manager and Director of Events, where responsibilities included event preparation, planning, and team mentorship. Prior to joining Mercatus, Martha worked as an Independent Consultant, advising nonprofits on event strategy, and held significant positions such as National Director of Strategic Conferences and Events at the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, and Director of Administration at the Wilberforce Forum/Prison Fellowship Ministries. With a Bachelor of Journalism in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin, Martha has built a robust career in communications and event management across multiple nonprofit organizations since 1988.
