Gasper Kolenc is a seasoned iOS Architect at Mercari, Inc., where since April 2021, responsibilities include maintaining and improving the iOS app architecture and performance, with a key role in the GroundUp project, which involves rebuilding the app using cutting-edge technologies. Prior to this, Gasper founded and served as CEO of Tingles from April 2017 to November 2022, successfully growing the platform to over 2 million users and achieving a valuation of $10 million as part of the Y Combinator accelerator program. Gasper also led the iOS team at Dubsmash as Lead iOS Engineer from December 2015 to April 2017, where weekly updates were shipped to a global audience of hundreds of millions. Additionally, Gasper was the Lead Mobile Engineer at erento GmbH, initiating their mobile department, and previously founded 1290 design d.o.o. while in college. Gasper holds a Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Ljubljana.
