Alan Edwards is a seasoned software engineering leader with a focus on healthcare IT solutions, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering for Consumer/Patient Engagement at Merative since July 2022. With a robust background in technical project management and Agile methodologies, Alan oversees a development portfolio supporting multiple squads dedicated to patient population management and engagement. Prior to this role, Alan worked at IBM Watson Health as a Software Development Manager, where leadership was demonstrated in all stages of the software development lifecycle for patient engagement solutions. Earlier experience includes serving as a Technical Architect at Phytel, Inc., where Alan designed a patient communication platform, and as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at IntegraSys, contributing to financial software for credit unions. Alan holds a degree from the University of Arkansas, completed in 1997.
