Destanye Salinas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies.

Destanye started their career as an Environmental Policy and Advocacy Intern at Environment Texas in 2017, where they successfully managed a campaign exposing secret oil and gas wells and collected signatures in support of the campaign.

In 2019, they joined Apple as a GIS Technician and Data Analyst, where they ensured data accuracy and analyzed first-party data on map efficiency. Destanye also participated in a project to streamline the data editing process.

Destanye then worked at Glow LEDs in 2020 as a Data Analyst, before joining Google later that year. At Google, they held the roles of Senior Data Steward and Data Steward, where they led critical projects, conducted root cause analysis, and proactively validated and processed data.

Currently, they are working at Meow Wolf as a Data Steward.

Destanye Salinas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography from The University of Texas at Austin in 2018. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in February 2023, "Introduction to Data Engineering" from Coursera in December 2022, and the "Google Data Analytics Certificate" from Coursera in March 2022.
