Emmi Matila has a diverse work experience starting from 2018. Emmi began their career as a Customer Service Agent at H&M and later joined Swappie as an Intern, where they took on the role of Office Manager. At Swappie, they handled HR tasks, office-related matters, and assisted with customer service. Emmi then moved on to MEOM, initially serving as an Office Manager and eventually taking on the role of People Coordinator. In this position, they had various responsibilities including daily HR tasks, employer branding, recruitment, and financial administration. Currently, Emmi is working as a Human Resources Consultant, focusing on developing the HR function and improving employee well-being in SME organizations.

Emmi Matila completed their Master of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Jyväskylä, from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business from JAMK University of Applied Sciences, from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, they earned a second Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business from the University of Borås, from 2017 to 2018. Emmi completed their Matriculation examination from Kouvolan Lyseon lukio from 2011 to 2014.
