Kesara Weerathunga is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure solutions. Currently serving as Lead Engineer for the Cloud Center of Excellence at Mendix since September 2023, Kesara focuses on optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. Prior roles include Cloud Architect at CAKE Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed designing scalable cloud solutions and automating deployments, and Associate Architect for Cloud Technologies at MillenniumIT ESP, advising enterprise clients on cloud infrastructure strategies. With foundational experience as Senior System Engineer and various roles at MillenniumIT, including specialization in UNIX systems and data center products, Kesara has cultivated a comprehensive skill set in enterprise-level IT solutions.
