Michael C. has a long history of web and software design and development. Michael began their career in 2011 as a freelancer before looking for full-time work. In 2012, they were a Developer for Desktop Extensions at Opera Software, where they designed, developed, and moderated extensions for Opera's desktop browser. In 2013, they joined CFEngine as a Frontend Developer, where they developed the web interface for an enterprise configuration management tool. Michael then moved to Mender in 2015, where they held the role of UX design and frontend development. Most recently, Michael C. has been a UX Designer at Northern.tech since 2017.

Michael C. attended the University of Glasgow from 2003 to 2008, where they earned an MA (Honours) in Philosophy. Michael then returned to the University of Glasgow from 2010 to 2011, where they earned an MSc in Information Technology.
