Katie Pollman

Research Director

Katie Pollman is an experienced research manager with a focus on educational and sustainability initiatives. Currently serving as Research Manager at the Memphis Education Fund since September 2021, Katie conducts research on the implementation and impact of ESSER funding aimed at addressing learning losses in Memphis, TN, particularly among autonomous and charter schools. Previously, Katie worked as a Research Manager at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, leading a Randomized Control Trial to evaluate an Early Grade literacy program in Uganda. Katie's background includes a role as Campus Sustainability Intern at the Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment, where coordination and engagement were key responsibilities. Additionally, Katie held a Sustainability Intern position at J. Ottman Consulting, focusing on social media campaigns and consumer research. Katie holds a Master of Science in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University and a double Bachelor's degree in Economics and Earth, Society, and Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
