Stanley Jose Komban, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Scientist at Meltwater since November 2014, specializing in the development and testing of Machine Learning models for Natural Language Processing tasks. Prior to this role, Stanley was a Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University from January 2014 to October 2014, conducting research on how the representation of object faces influences decision-making processes. Earlier academic experiences include serving as a Graduate Student at SUNY from August 2008 to October 2013, focusing on the encoding of first and second order statistics of natural images in the visual system, and as a Junior Research Fellow at the National Center for Biological Sciences from January 2007 to April 2008, where research centered on the encoding of odor mixtures in olfactory sensory neurons.
