Akkeneel Talsma is the CEO and founder of Melius Outcomes. Akkeneel has also served as an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Michigan, a research analyst at the University of Michigan Health System, and a director at the Michigan Peer Review Organization. Talsma has also been a research investigator at the University of Michigan School of Medicine and the director of the Perioperative Outcomes Initiative (POI). Akkeneel is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholar and a Sr. Consultant at The Medstat Group (Thomson Reuters / Truven).

Akkeneel Talsma is a PhD, RN, and FAAN who has worked in the field of nursing for many years. Akkeneel has a PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Michigan and an HBO-V in Nursing from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
