Markus Haack has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Markus has held various roles in the hospitality sector, starting in 2001 as a Head Waiter at Maestral Restaurante. Markus then moved on to Blau Hotels and Resorts, working in Food and Beverage and Front Desk from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, they became a Sales Manager at Inmobiliara Sa Coma before joining Blau Hotels for Holidays as a PA Commercial Director in 2008. Markus then worked as a Contracting Manager at Be Live Hotels from 2010 to 2011. Markus then joined Pegas Touristik, where they held the roles of Contracting Manager Caribbean from 2011 to 2013 and Contracting Director from 2013 to 2015. Markus subsequently worked as the General Sales & Contracting Director at Melia Hotels International from 2015 to 2018. Markus then took on roles at Blue Diamond Hotel & Resorts as the Corporate Sales & Contracting Director Europe & LATAM and Regional Director of Sales DR from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they are employed at Meliá Hotels International, holding the positions of Area Sales & Marketing Director for the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Bahamas, and more recently, Sales & Marketing Senior Director from April 2021 onwards.
