Alex Barabas is an experienced emergency medicine physician currently serving at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute and Melbourne Regional Medical Center since July 2020 and January 2021, respectively. Additionally, Alex holds the position of adjunct professor at the Florida Institute of Technology since January 2018. Previous experience includes a role as an emergency medicine physician at Straub Clinic and Hospital and completing a residency at the University of Central Florida - College of Medicine. Alex's professional background also features roles as a certified flight instructor at FIT Aviation LLC and first officer at Colgan Air, Inc. Alex earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Florida State University College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations from Florida Institute of Technology.
