Sam Smith is an accomplished podcast host and creator at MedSchoolCoach since July 2019, focusing on medical education through programs like STEP1 Basics and the MCAT Basics Podcast. Prior experience includes serving as an IRTA Postbac Fellow at the National Institutes of Health from August 2018 to July 2020, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder with the Randolph Group from August 2015 to August 2018. Sam also contributed as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in summer 2017 and as a Hotspotter Intern at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in summer 2016, working to connect Medicaid and Medicare patients with primary care. Sam is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, expected to graduate in May 2025, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned in 2018.
