Born in Paris, Virginie Banet is a French investment banker and businesswoman. Virginie is currently the Director at Mediobanca, an Italian investment bank. Prior to their current role, Banet served as the Administratrice indépendante at Vallourec from February 2020 to July 2021. Virginie was also a member of the Comite financier et d'Audit during their time at Vallourec. In July 2021, Banet left Vallourec following a change in shareholders.
Banet has also worked as a Managing Director at Nomura from October 2015 to August 2019, where they were responsible for the Investment Banking Division. Virginie has also served as a Partner at Ondra Partners from September 2014 to September 2015. Prior to that, they were the Global Head of Coverage / Deputy Head Coverage & Advisory at Natixis from January 2011 to June 2014. Banet was also a member of the Comité exécutif de Natixis during their time with the company.
Banet began their career working at Lagardère in various roles from July 2008 to December 2010, including Directeur des relations investisseurs and membre du Comite exécutif de Lagardere Media. In December 2010, they left Lagardère to join EADS as Senior Vice President -Head of Merger & Acquisition. Virginie held this position from June 2006 to November 2006. Banet then joined Deutsche Bank in September 2003,
Virginie Banet has a degree in Economics and Finance from Sciences Po. Virginie has worked in the field of taxation for many years, and is currently a tax consultant.
