Javier Plaza Soriano is currently a Master's degree student in Biomedical Biotechnology at Universitat Politècnica de València, with an academic background in Biotechnology from Universidad Católica de Valencia San Vicente Mártir. Since November 2022, Javier has been involved in internships at IIS LA FE - Medical Research Institute, specifically within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit, where skills developed include processing blood samples, cytokine analysis using multiplex Luminex technology, ELISA, and statistical analysis with R. Javier also completed extracurricular internships in the same unit, as well as a previous internship in the Structural and Computational Biochemistry research group at Universidad Católica de Valencia, contributing to a project that formed the basis of a final thesis focused on RNA nanostructures for antiviral therapy.
