Katie (Kathleen) Bone, MS, PhD, FCCMG, FACMG, is an accomplished academic and clinical professional in the field of pathology and cytogenetics, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Director of Cytogenetics at the Medical College of Wisconsin since November 2018. Previous roles include Cytogeneticist at London Health Sciences Centre, Assistant Professor at Western University, and Clinical Lecturer at both the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta. Katie's extensive experience encompasses the development of standard operating procedures for prenatal microarray diagnosis, evaluation of copy number variants in various developmental disorders, and research on DNA mismatch repair mechanisms in aggressive lymphomas. Educationally, Katie holds a PhD in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology from the University of Alberta, as well as fellowships and degrees in cytogenetics and molecular medicine.
