Debra Nevels is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in health care management, education, and community engagement. Currently serving as Community Program Manager at the Medical College of Wisconsin since December 2019, Debra also contributes as an Adjunct Instructor at Concordia University-Wisconsin. Previously, Debra held significant roles at the American Cancer Society, including Health Systems Manager and Sr. Manager of Health Systems for Wisconsin, focusing on patient referral strategies and community impact on cancer incidence. Other notable positions include Adjunct Faculty at Bryant & Stratton College, Employment/Life Skills Specialist at Alma Center, Director of Enrollment and Student Services at Outlook University Independent School Network, Manager of Care Management at Independent Care Health Plan, and Director of Multicultural Student Programming at Maryville University of Saint Louis. Debra holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Management and a Bachelor’s degree in African-American/Black Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
