Iris Deroeux is an experienced journalist and educator with a strong focus on youth, diversity, and cultural practices. Currently, Deroeux contributes as a freelance journalist for Le Monde and mediapart.fr, exploring the themes of youth experiences and discrimination, particularly in a comparative context between France and the USA. Deroeux has held roles such as media education professor at IEP Paris and journalist-editor at The Conversation France, where oversight of the "Fact Check US" section and bi-monthly science podcast was part of the duties. Previous positions include roles as Editor-in-Chief and freelance journalist at Causette, as well as international correspondent positions for Mediapart and Libération in the USA and India.
