Francois Bougon is an experienced journalist with a strong background in international reporting and editing. Currently serving in the Pôle international at mediapart.fr since September 2019, Francois previously held various positions at Le Monde from January 2012 to September 2019, including Reporter, Vice Chief Editor, and Vice Chief of the International Section, with a focus on Asia. Prior experience includes roles at Agence France Presse from September 2005 to December 2011 as Social Media Editor and China Correspondent, as well as working as a journalist at AFP from 1996 to 2010. Francois holds a licence in Chinese from Université Paris 7 and completed studies at Réseau CFJ between 1989 and 1991.
