Michael Casciano has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Michael started their career as a Network Operations Manager at Cableworks Communications in 1988, where they were responsible for introducing new technologies and providing technical leadership in video and IP network evolution. In 2000, they joined Bell Canada as a Senior Technology Strategist, focusing on developing new and emerging applications in the consumer voice, video, and data market. During their time at Bell Canada, they successfully recommended a content distribution strategy that resulted in a projected 4-year NPV saving of $15 million. In 2008, Casciano became the VP of Operations at Clearcable Networks, where they oversaw operational activities. Michael then joined CueContent in 2011 as a Consultant, specializing in building, deploying, and maintaining carrier-grade media platforms. In 2012, they served as a Senior Manager of Managed Services at ZTE Canada before moving to Ericsson in 2014. At Ericsson, they worked as a Solution Manager for TV and Media Solutions until 2019. Currently, Casciano holds the position of Director of Sales Engineering at MediaKind, formerly known as Ericsson Media Solutions.
Michael Casciano has a diverse education history. Michael started their educational journey in 1984 at Mohawk College, where they pursued an Advanced Diploma in Electronics Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications and System Design. Michael completed this program in 1987.
In 1996, Michael attended the University of Toronto and obtained a Certificate in Telecommunications Engineering. This program lasted for one year.
Later, in 2007, they enrolled at York University and completed a Certificate in Project Management, which spanned from 2007 to 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Michael also obtained several certifications. In November 2020, they obtained certifications in Field Sales and Technical Sales: The Role of the Sales Engineer from LinkedIn. In December 2020, they acquired a certification in Kubernetes: Cloud Native Ecosystem, also from LinkedIn.
