Frederik De Swaef serves as Hoofdredacteur at Gazet van Antwerpen since March 2021, leading the editorial team of over 120 staff and freelancers while overseeing the digital transformation of the publication. In addition, Frederik holds the position of Hoofdredacteur at Made In, a B2B news site under Mediahuis nv since July 2021. Previously, Frederik was Hoofdredacteur at Het Laatste Nieuws and served in various editorial leadership roles at DPG Media België and Sanoma Media Belgium, focusing on content strategy, regional journalism, and cross-platform integration. Frederik's career commenced at VRT as a journalist, supported by a Master’s degree in Political Science from Ghent University and an Erasmus year at The University of Freiburg.
