Kudzai Makoni

MEAL Manager at Medair

Kudzai Makoni is a seasoned professional in the fields of monitoring, evaluation, and community development with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the MEAL Manager at Medair since July 2022, Kudzai previously held the position of Program Manager at Leonard Cheshire Disability Zimbabwe from March 2020 to June 2022. As Regional Team Leader for East and Southern Africa at the Africa Community Development and Research Center (ACDRC) from January 2009 to December 2019, Kudzai facilitated regional policy-oriented research and community development initiatives across several countries. Kudzai's early career includes serving as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the USAID-supported Children First Project in Zimbabwe, and as Principal Consultant at VAL!Data Research, where Kudzai founded Climber's Song Consulting. Additionally, Kudzai has experience in research and publications from serving as Research, Information and Publications Officer at Silveira House. Kudzai holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, along with various other academic qualifications in research and psychology.
