Yrjö Cajanus has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design engineering. Yrjö started their career at Rova-Tekno Ky as a thesis worker and design engineer in 1984. Yrjö then worked as a Design Engineer at the Railroad Administration in Finland from 1985 to 1988. Yrjö Cajanus joined Filtronic LK Oy in 1988 and held various roles including Development Engineer and Project Manager in R&D, production machinery design, and production methods development until 2001. From 2001 to 2010, they worked at SWECO Industry Oy as a Senior Design Engineer, designing mechanics for base stations of cellular networks and cellular phones. Since 2010, Yrjö Cajanus has been a Senior Design Engineer at Lewel Group Ltd, where they have been involved in the design of a flexible positioning principle and fixture for RF measurement chambers, as well as accessories for tablet PCs. In 2016, they joined Mecaplan Oy as a Senior Design Engineer, where they have been working on mechanics design for ABB medium voltage protection and connection devices, Bittium products, and sheet metal roll forming machines at Profiilikeskus Oy.
Yrjö Cajanus has pursued a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oulu. Prior to that, they attended Nivalan lukio, although no degree or field of study information is available for this educational institution.
