Cary Slone is currently a Sales Operations Manager at MeatEater, Inc., a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director of Technology at Mountain Humane from 2018-2021, Assistant Director, Health Communications at The Public Good Projects from 2017-2018, Digital Health Communications at San Diego State University - Graduate and Research Affairs from 2016-2017, and an Intern at Circulate San Diego in 2017. Cary Slone, also founded Glassblowing San Diego in 2007.

Cary Slone received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UC San Diego. Cary Slone, then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from San Diego State University, which they completed in 2018.
