Amy Felker currently serves as the Director for Child and Family Policy at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, a position held since July 2021. Previously, Amy held various roles at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission from December 2014 to June 2021, including Manager of Daily Operations for Medicaid/CHIP and Senior Policy Advisor for the Office of Mental Health Coordination. Amy's earlier experience includes serving as a Program Specialist VI in the Mental Health & Substance Abuse Division at the Texas Department of State Health Services and working as a social worker in healthcare settings. Academic qualifications include an MSSW in Social Work and a BA in Government, both earned from The University of Texas at Austin.
