Loren Schulze

Vice President For Marketing And Business Development at ME&A, Inc.

Loren Schulze has extensive experience in the field of international development and environmental conservation. Loren has held various positions in different organizations throughout their career. Schulze started their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Colombia, where they focused on agricultural extension and natural resource management. After their service, they worked as a Research Technician for the USDA-ARS Soil and Water Conservation Service. Schulze then pursued their education and completed a Master's Program and a Doctorate Program at the University of Georgia, specializing in agronomy and agricultural research. After completing their education, Schulze joined USAID, where they held several roles, including Chief of the Environment and Natural Resource Division for Central and Eastern Europe and the New Independent States. Loren also worked as a Senior Environmental Advisor at Devtech Systems Inc., where they provided business development support and technical assistance in the environment and natural resource sector. Schulze has also worked at the Global Environment and Technology Foundation, where they reviewed technical proposals and implementation plans for the Water and Development Alliance program. Loren is currently Vice President for Marketing and Business Development at ME&A, Inc., where they are responsible for marketing and outreach for the firm and develops and maintains contacts with organizations in the international development industry.

Loren Schulze pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1965 to 1969, they attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agronomy and Crop Science. Following this, they embarked on further academic endeavors at The University of Georgia. Starting in 1972 and ending in 1974, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Crop Production. Later, from 1972 to 1978, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Physiology.
