Elisa Macedo Basto currently serves as a Data Protection and Compliance - Legal Advisor at MDS Group since June 2023. Previously, Elisa was a Lawyer at PPDP - Plus Privacy Data Protection from January 2022 to May 2023, focusing on Privacy and Data Protection Law, and at OC Advogados from September 2018 to May 2023. Prior to the legal roles, Elisa worked as a Business Operations Manager at INVESTELAR - INVESTIMENTOS EM HABITAÇÃO S.A. from September 2016 to September 2018, and as Accounts Department Assistant at Abreu Advogados from May 2013 to July 2016. Earlier experience includes an internship at Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome and collaboration with the Marketing and Communication Direction at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Educational qualifications include a Law degree from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, a Master's in Business Sciences from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, and a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from IDEFF. Additionally, Elisa participated in a crash course on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) at Instituto de Ciências Jurídico-Políticas in 2018.
