Faith Lewis

Director, Data Collection Strategies & Systems at MDRC

Lewis oversees the Data Collection Unit at MDRC, where she is responsible for the execution of internal and external data-collection projects. She advises project teams on methods and best practices and recommends data-collection protocols. Lewis also plays a lead role in the development and execution of research standards within MDRC. She brings to her efforts nearly two decades of experience in survey research, with a special focus on complex data collection, staff development, and research standardization. Before joining MDRC, she was a research director at Abt Associates (previously Abt SRBI), where she led project-planning activities and the execution of large-scale data collection. At Abt she took a lead role in developing and executing standard protocols, applying industry best practices across projects, identifying and testing new methods and approaches, and developing best practices based on current research for the use of new and existing methods. Lewis also previously worked for the Mellman Group, a political polling firm, with a variety of political and nonprofit clients, including campaigns at the presidential, gubernatorial, senatorial, congressional, and local political levels. Lewis holds an undergraduate degree in American history and political science from Boston University, and an MA in applied politics from the American University.
