Lawrence M. Lawson serves as Of Counsel at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP since October 2014. Previously, Lawrence served as the Assignment Judge at Monmouth County Courthouse from April 1993 to September 2014 and held the position of Superior Court Judge for the State of New Jersey from January 1987 to September 2014, becoming the first African-American Judge in Monmouth County upon appointment in 1987. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law (1972) and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Bowie State University (1969), after completing education at Neptune High School (1965).
