Niels van Zijl is an Expert Associate Partner specializing in Implementation at McKinsey & Company since September 2016, following a series of roles including Engagement Manager and Implementation Coach within the same firm. Prior to McKinsey, Niels served as Plant Controller Energy & Services and Assistant sBU Controller Energy at AkzoNobel from February 2013 to August 2016. Niels has also contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and as a PhD Candidate and Lecturer at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Niels holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Erasmus University Rotterdam along with multiple master's degrees in Financial Law, Econometrics & Management Science, and an Executive Master of Finance and Control. Niels completed high school at Revius Lyceum with a VWO Gymnasium diploma.
