Kira Street is an experienced product designer and educator with a strong background in UI/UX design, logo design, and promotional graphic design. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at IDEO U since January 2023, Kira also leads Kira Street Designs as a full-time freelancer, building on two years of freelancing. Previous experience includes roles as Associate Instructor at ThriveDX, Product Designer at Guild Education, and UI/UX Designer at KUKA Austin, where Kira contributed to cloud platform design and user experience. Kira is a founder of Generative Crochet, a project exploring the intersection of crochet and design, and has also mentored young women in engineering and design at the MIT Women's Technology Program. Kira holds a Master of Fine Arts in Design from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
