Dr. Lisa Hafer is an experienced educational leader currently serving as an Independent Contractor at McGraw Hill since June 2024 and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Dakota since June 2023. Previously, Dr. Hafer held the position of Director of Special Services at Rapid City Area Schools from July 2020 to January 2024 and served as Principal at Valley View Elementary from June 2018 to July 2020 and Pinedale Elementary from July 2015 to July 2018. With prior experience as Principal at Lander Valley High School and as Special Education Director at Belle Fourche School District, Dr. Hafer also worked as Assistant Principal at Douglas High School. Dr. Hafer holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of South Dakota, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Black Hills State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the same institution.
