Janie Rios is an Associate Attorney at McDowell Hetherington LLP since August 2022, with previous experience as an Associate Attorney at Green Klein & Wood and as a Law Clerk at Reddy & Neumann, P.C. Rios began legal training as a Judicial Intern at the U.S. Federal Courthouse, where research and drafting of memoranda related to litigation and Fair Labor Standards Act settlements took place. Rios also gained experience as a Legal Extern at the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores, focusing on U.S. Supreme Court decisions and drafting diplomatic correspondence on international law. Prior to entering the legal field, Rios worked as a Bilingual Teacher for Fort Worth ISD. Rios holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, a Master of Education degree from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Rice University.
