Brian Schusterman is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial transactions, business organizations, governance, financing transactions, real estate transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as a Partner at McDonald Carano since March 2017, Brian was previously a Counsel & Partner at Downey Brand LLP from November 2014 to March 2017. Earlier experience includes roles as a Transactional/Business Attorney at Lionel Sawyer & Collins and a Litigation Associate at Proskauer Rose LLP. Brian began a legal career as a Summer Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice and has worked at California Indian Legal Services and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Brian holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, cum laude, from Colby College.
