Thakadu Saasa is an accomplished mining professional with extensive experience in management roles within the coal industry. Currently serving as General Manager at Mbuyelo Coal since March 2024, Thakadu has previously held positions as Mine Manager at Seriti Resources and Wescoal, as well as Production Manager at Glencore Coal. Thakadu's career began at Anglo American, where responsibilities included Mining Activity Engineer and various overseer roles, both in opencast and underground mining. Academic credentials include a Master's in Philosophy in Business Management Corporate Strategy from GIBS Business School, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Regenesys, and a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
